World’s Most Expensive Bass Guitar
$250,000

The Ritter Royal Flora Aurum has the prestige of being the world’s most expensive bass guitar. The finger board is inlaid with a floral pattern in 24k gold, with each leaf in the pattern having its own black diamond set in platinum. The bridge, knobs, and tuner buttons are hand cast in gold, with a 3.3-carat flawless brilliant-cut diamond on each of the two knobs. Even the knob markings are set with tiny green brilliant-cut diamonds. The body is hand shaped out of one piece of the highest-figured quilted maple. The nut is made out of perhaps made out the most precious material of all: 10,000-year-old mammoth ivory. With all of the workmanship and fine materials, it is a wonder it is not more expensive – the price is only $250,000. To purchase this bass, one does not go to a music store, rather a jeweler: Wynn and Co. of Las Vegas.
